Hi

I have a HP Spectre X360, with an Intel Core i7-6500 CPU installed.

This is incompatible with windows 11, and now that Windows 10 is no longer supported, is it feasible to upgrade the CPU rather than having to purchase and replace a very good high spec laptop by today's standard?

Hi:

The processor is an integral part of the motherboard and cannot be upgraded.

The good news is if you are interested in doing an in-place upgrade from W10>W11 you can, but you will have to use a workaround that bypasses the W11 hardware checks.

Watch this video for the easiest way that I know of to do an in-place upgrade from W10>W11 25H2:
