Hi guys
I have just bought a new Pavilion 15 cs2055tx,
Confirguration: CPU i5-8265u ( 1.6~3.9Ghz), Ram 16GB bus 2666 ( 2*8 GB), 128GB M.2 sata SSD boot + 1TB 2.5" SSD storage, VGA Mx130 2GB
When running heavy load ( video export, cinebench, winrar...) the cpu only can reach 2.2Ghz when all core run, My previous laptop Dell inspiron 5570 ( same GPU, ram, ssd) using i5 8250u can easily reach 2.8Ghz boost all core when running same application.
Then the new cpu is actually much slower than older one in multicore performance
Windows 10 power plan now setting at High performance mode with maximum speed for all items
Does anyone know how to fix boost frequency, may be in Bios set up can change fan speed for better cooling capacity or activate high performance mode but i did not find
Thank you

@nguyenthucbk It looks like all relevant suggestions to tweak system performance were provided, if you continue to have issues with all 5 pcs, I suggest you talk to HP support and discuss your options, follow the below steps to get started:
1) Click on this link - http://www.hp.com/contacthp/
2) Click on Sign-in or select the product using the below step:
3) Enter the serial of your device.
4) Select the country from the drop-down.
5) Click on "Show Options".
Fill the web-form, to populate a case number and phone number for yourself!
Also, if you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty, if yes? please send me a private message with the region you are contacting us from,

Welcome to HP support community.
Microsoft Fix it Solution to automatically improve system performance
To automatically improve system performance, click the Microsoft Fix it Solution:
Turning off nonessential graphical features to improve system performance
Graphical features and programs can use a lot of system resources.
Turning off these features can improve system performance.
This section explains how to adjust visual effects for best performance and how to disable Windows Aero.
Adjusting visual effects for best performance
The best way to do that is using the HP Guided Troubleshooter:
Click here to access it (simply select your description of the issue from the bottom of the screen to gain access to the next set of steps that should resolve your concern).
I hope that helps.

Thank you for your reply
But i think it did not help
Here is my windows version, new November update 1909
Bios is ver 1.9 , It is very strange that i only see bios verion 1.6 on HP driver website, don't know how ver 1.9 is installed
Everything of laptop is fine except cpu boost frequency when all 4 core runs
Here you can see how speed is when i stressed CPU and IGP HD620 at same time, CPU freq only 1.4 Ghz, CPU utilization only 77%
After that i disable IGP and stress CPU again, freq is around 2.2Ghz, utilization 100%
I think this happens because of power limit 15W by VRM for both CPU and IGP, then when IGP run full load, the cpu is power hungry and drop to 1.4 Ghz
Do you notice same problem with other product with same model. if there is, i will accept this as a mistake of HP design team
This really hurts my feeling. i feel that HP cheats on user when selling a fast cpu model but could not run full power.
The older cpu 8250u can easily boost all core to 2.8 Ghz on other thin laptop and bring definitely better overal performance

I must say that, hp does not recommend using third party programs to benchmark the pc's performance as it may not be accurate.
Also, CPU & GPU usage is system managed and cannot be tweaked or changed on this device, as advanced menu on bios is locked by design, changing anything may render the device unstable.
The steps I had provided are the only to improve PC performance, and if that doesn't help you can try the below steps as well:
Here's how you do it:
· Go to Start Menu > click on Settings.
· Type performance > choose Adjust the appearance and performance of Windows.
· In the new window, go to the Visual Effects and select Adjust for best performance.
· click Apply and ok...this should do the trick.
If the issue persists, The best way to resolve the issue is to follow the suggestions of the HP Guided Troubleshooter:
Click here to access it (simply select your description of the issue from the bottom of the screen to gain access to the next set of steps that should resolve your concern).
CLICK HERE FOR MORE STEPS AND INSTRUCTIONS.
(by the end of this document, all the issues should be resolved)
I hope that helps.

Dear Sandytechy20
Thank you for you effort and time to help this topic
Actually my company buy around 5 pcs of this model to judge value and performance before buying more
At first i choose this model because of good look, good weight and good hardware spec
2019 hardware is far from requirement of windows 10 UI, then adjusting UI performance to get 1 or 2% performance is meaningless.
I think it suits for light work at office, we will leave these 05 pcs for office ladies to use.
We have already choosen another model of other maker to buy in number.
And talking about dis-advantage of this model
- As you already known the frequency limit because of thermal throttle and power limit ( we also dont want to waste more time digging because this is the level of hardware design )
- 2nd matter i also posted in HP community, that is USB power matter. Please see my post yourself at link:
https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Video-Display-and-Touch/Mouse-is-lagging/m-p/7298871#M200992
Finally this topic remain Unsolved.
Even with your gently help but i must say sorry for not "Accept as sollution"
I will help you with another topic
Thank you very much.
