Hi,
In the last few days I have some problems reguarding a CPU overusage due to "hp-plugin-executor.exe". Does anyone what this mean and how can I solve this issue?

Hi Francis,
No worries and thanks for the information!
You can use the Task Manager in Windows or use Microsoft Software Engineer Mark Russinovich's SysInternals Process Explorer or Process Monitor to gather information on the process it is running. You can download SysInternals from the Microsoft store.
YouTube has video tutorials explaining how to use it. It is quite powerful.
I use it to go online to see what an App is up to an ensure that it isn't a bad actor. Your HP plugin exe isn't but you probably only want it to start on demand and not automatically.
Did this "hp-plugin-executor.exe" show up as a result of installing a specific HP app or perhaps HP printer software?
If you are concerned about it, you can use the Task Manager -->Startup app section to see if it is present.
If it is, you can disable it so it does not use up so many CPU cycles.
There will be an option, if you right-click on it, to go online and see what it is.
Disabling it won't hurt anything.
I tend to use this feature of Task Manager to manage the plethora of apps I have on this desktop PC. If I don't need them to open on startup, I disable them. I can always return to enable one if I need it to auto start when I log into Windows.

When you do not identify your desktop or laptop PC, you tie our hands behind our backs. Help us to help you.
When logged into Windows, hold down the Windows key and tap the R key once.
That will open the Windows run dialogue
Type in msinfo32 and press enter.
The ninth line is the SKU and the HP product number. Kindly post it in your next reply in your thread.
The System SKU/Product ID will enable us to determine the hardware configuration of your notebook.
If you can't log into Windows, look on the bottom of your notebook for that information.
If you have a desktop look at the rear of your PC

Hello,
it has been a while due to work. I solved it by doing as you wrote in the message about using Task Manager to block it. Just for information I bought a new HP printer a few month ago but it didn't gave me any problem so I'm sure it is something concern about its driver.
Thank you for your help.
