Product: Victus by HP 16.1 inch Gaming Laptop PC 16-d0000 (2V8V2AV)

Hello,
I cleaned the fans on my Victus notebook. I also put new thermal paste on it. Since then, the CPU temperature has been displayed far too high and the fans are running faster than they should (100°C +), although the cooling works and, according to my instinct, is not that high.

How sure are you that the new thermal paste was put on correctly? Thermal paste also needs several heat and cool cycles to settle in. If no improvement in a few days, I'd suggest redoing it. I use Artic Silver 5 and redo paste as one of the first things I do when working on a laptop new or old.

Thermal paste is on it for a week and was renewed again 2 days ago. The same thermal paste is also on the GPU and it is properly cooled.
