Thanks for your response and your awesome post. I'm glad that the links were helpful. Obviously, there seem to be several components that may be broken on the machine. You've been simply superb to work with. As some said once "Don't be penny wise and pound foolish". It was fabulous on your part to run the complete system diagnostics and come up with the results. If the HDD and memory are to be replaced along with the processor , user your discretion judiciously before doing that. The cost of doing that could be the cost of buying a new computer with a brand new year's warranty on it. That is my personal opinion. We definitely value your relationship with HP and thank you for greatly for doing business with HP. I have done a lot of research to ensure that I provide you with accurate information.
