CPU upgrade in HP 8540p

Hello,

I am just searching the latest/fastest CPU which can work with my 8540p. Now it has I5-540M. The HP documentation is saying I7-620M, 

but,

i did find for example I7 640M which can be also compatible.

Does somebody know what else can be useful?

Looks like you can use

• 560M, 2.66-GHz (Turbo up to 3.20) processor 3-MB L3 cache, 4 threads  part # 625824-001
• 540M, 2.53-GHz (Turbo up to 3.06) processor 3-MB L3 cache, 4 threads part # 594188-001
• 520M, 2.40-GHz (Turbo up to 2.93) processor 3-MB L3 cache, 4 threads part # 594187-001

In my document was not standing the 640m, this is why i was not sure about it.

Can i ask one more thing?

In my document there are also quad core CPUs, but in benchmark test they got less point then the 640m dual core CPU.

Should not be the quad core better/faster?
