Presario CQ57-104TU

Hi.

Am hoping some person in the know can help me on this one.

I have a Compaq Presario CQ57-104tu laptop that needs a power adapter replacement. The old adapter was a 18.5v 3.5a (65w) model. I ordered a new HP adapter but they sent the wrong one but said it would still work. It's rated at 19.5v 3.33a (65w).

My question is: Will this laptop cope with the extra volt in power or will it be outside it's tolerances and maybe cause overheating etc long term.

Many thanks for any help

Hi,

There should be no problem using the ac adapter as plus or minus 7% will make no difference to the system.

Hope it helps,

David
