Hello! I have a question about calibrating the battery in my hp laptop. I have tried to do this in different ways, but the support assistant keeps saying that it is necessary to calibrate the battery. I have tried both through hp and manually. As a result, the laptop also shuts down without giving a message that the battery is almost empty. I replaced the battery not even a year ago. Do you have any tips on how I can solve this problem? Is there a different way to calibrate the battery?

(Incidentally, the laptop often gives the message "The CMOS checksum is invalid" when starting up after a shutdown, but no idea if this is a related problem. After the reset that the laptop performs, it will turn on normally.)

I see that you are facing issues with your battery calibration.

Hi @Treeko,

Unfortunately the tests do not give an error code. It just says that the battery is working properly but needs to be calibrated.

I feel like I have tried calibrating the battery like 10 times now... It just doesn't work.
