HP Laptop PC 15s-fq2000 (2D119AV)
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I messaged HP support several times, but my problem was not resolved. 1-Windows update does not find the webcam driver. 2- HP Support Assistant does not find the webcam update either. All drivers are updated - BIOS is updated 3- There is no HP support center in Iran 4- HP PCs- Troubleshoot the webcam did not solve my problem. The only thing that solves my problem is a driver for HP 15-dy2058ms! HP support is very weak! I read all the answers of HP on YouTube, none of them solved the problem. I hope you put the driver for download! Other actions do not solve the problem. Thanks

Hi @Miladjavadi,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you're encountering the error code 0xa00f4244 on your HP laptop's webcam and Windows Update as well as HP Support Assistant are unable to find the necessary driver updates, there are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue.

Check Device Manager:

  • Right-click on the Start button and select Device Manager.
  • Look for any entries related to imaging devices or cameras.
  • If you see any devices with a yellow exclamation mark or that are listed as Unknown Devices, it indicates a problem with the drivers.

Reinstall Webcam Drivers:

  • Right-click on the problematic device, and select Uninstall device.
  • Once uninstalled, restart your laptop.
  • Windows should automatically attempt to reinstall the drivers. If it doesn't, proceed with the next step.

Manually Install Webcam Drivers:

  • Visit the HP Support website and navigate to the support page for your specific laptop model.
  • Look for the webcam drivers listed for your operating system.
  • Download and install the latest webcam drivers manually.

Update Drivers from Device Manufacturer:

  • If HP's support channels aren't providing the necessary drivers, check if the webcam's manufacturer has drivers available. Sometimes, HP laptops use components from other manufacturers for peripherals like webcams.
  • Identify the webcam's manufacturer from the Device Manager if possible, then visit their website to download and install the latest drivers.

System Restore:

  • If the issue started recently, you can try performing a system restore to a point before the problem occurred. This may revert any recent changes that could have caused the webcam driver issue.

Remember to back up any important data before making significant changes to your system, such as reinstalling drivers or performing a system restore. This ensures that you can recover your data in case of any unforeseen issues.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
