Hi @Raffayyy,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

We understand how frustrating this is, especially since the camera is not even showing in Device Manager. For your HP Victus Gaming Laptop 15-fa1093dx, the error 0xA00F4244 <NoCamerasAreAttached> means the system is not detecting the camera hardware at all.

Please follow the steps below carefully in the exact order.

Step 1: Check Device Manager

  1. Press Windows + X → Device Manager
  2. Click View → Show hidden devices
  3. Expand:
    • Cameras or
    • Imaging devices

➡️ If the camera appears:

  • Right-click → Enable device

➡️ If the camera does NOT appear at all:

  • Click Action → Scan for hardware changes

Step 2: Update or Install Camera Driver

  1. In Device Manager → click Action → Add legacy hardware
  2. Choose:
    • Install hardware manually
    • Select Cameras
  3. If available, select:
    • USB Video Device (generic driver)

➡️ Driver issues are the most common cause of this error

Step 3: Check Camera Privacy Settings

  1. Go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Camera
  2. Turn ON:
    • Camera access
    • Let apps access your camera

Step 4: Run Windows Update

  • Go to Settings → Windows Update → Check for updates
  • Install all:
    • Driver updates
    • Optional updates

Step 5: BIOS Restore

  1. Turn OFF the notebook
  2. Press and hold Windows + B
  3. Press Power for 2–3 seconds
  4. Release Power, keep holding Windows + B
  5. Follow the recovery screen
