Hi @Sultan1256,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your camera is not working and you suspect that a faulty BIOS update may be the issue, you might need to use the specific firmware update tool to resolve the problem. Here’s how to proceed:

1. Download the Firmware Update Tool

The "Realtek_CamFWUpdateTool_HP_CKFIH21.exe" file you mentioned is a specific firmware update tool for HP laptops. To obtain this file, you generally need to:

Visit HP Support Website:

  • Go to the HP Support website.

Search for Your Laptop Model:

  • Enter your HP laptop model in the search bar.

Navigate to Drivers & Downloads:

  • Find the section for drivers and downloads.

Check BIOS and Firmware Updates:

  • Look for BIOS or firmware updates related to your camera or system.

Download the Tool:

  • If available, download the "Realtek_CamFWUpdateTool_HP_CKFIH21.exe" file or any relevant firmware updates for your camera.

2. Perform the Update

Once you have the correct file, follow these steps to update your camera firmware:

Prepare for the Update:

  • Ensure your laptop is plugged into a power source to prevent interruption during the update.

Run the Update Tool:

  • Double-click the downloaded "Realtek_CamFWUpdateTool_HP_CKFIH21.exe" file to start the update process.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the update.

Restart Your Laptop:

  • After the update is complete, restart your laptop to apply the changes.

3. Check Camera Functionality

Verify Camera Settings:

  • Go to Settings > Privacy > Camera and ensure that access to the camera is enabled for your applications.

Test the Camera:

  • Open an application that uses the camera (e.g., Camera app, Skype) to check if the camera is functioning properly.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
