I have been using my laptop (Victus by HP 15.6-inch Gaming Laptop 15-f) for the past year. Since I installed Windows 11, the camera has stopped working. I have tried all possible troubleshooting steps, but the issue persists. Could you please guide me on how to resolve this and get the camera working again?

Hi @Mubeen775,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd be glad to help you!
I understand how frustrating it can be to deal with a non-working camera, especially when you've tried every possible solution—it can really disrupt your routine and productivity.
Use these steps to troubleshoot and repair your webcam.
Note: Depending on your version of Windows, some graphics and information in this document might vary. You can get the latest version from the Microsoft Store.
Certain HP notebooks, monitors, and All-in-One computers come with built-in webcams that you can use to capture video motion or still images. A webcam is a video input device, similar to a scanner or camera, and requires software to function. The two most common types of software that use webcams are internet messaging software (for making video calls over the internet), and video editing software (for creating and sharing video files).
Locate and toggle the webcam privacy switch or press the webcam shutter key
- Select HP notebook models come with a webcam privacy switch or a webcam shutter key that turns the webcam off and on. By default, the webcam is turned on. You might need to turn the webcam on if it has been turned off.
Note: Your HP notebook might also have a webcam privacy cover. Slide the cover right to uncover the webcam.
Click here for the remaining steps.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance

Thank you for your response; I really appreciate it. However, I would like to point out that you mentioned 'HP Notebook' in your reply. I want to kindly remind you to review my previous message, where I specifically mentioned the laptop as 'HP Victus' along with its complete model details. Please provide a solution that aligns with this particular laptop model.
Thank you!

Hi @Mubeen7751,
The document I shared is a generic guide for both HP Victus and HP notebooks/laptops, as the troubleshooting steps remain the same. 😊
