Hi!

I´m having a issue trying to use my cam.

It reports a message that wasn´t possible to find my camera and gives the following error code "0xA00F4244«NoCamerasAreAttached».

I went to the cam settings and everything is enabled.

I have tried to download and install the drivers, but it still doesn´t work.

The camera does not appear in Device Manager and my pc  does not have a camera kill switch or webcam shutter key.

Thank you!

Hello

that is an issue due to some Windows update that change the webcam driver with a not compatible one.

you have to

Roll back the camera driver

If your camera stopped working after an update, try these steps:

  1. In Device Manager, press and hold (or right-click) your camera, and then select Properties.
  2. Select the Driver tab, select Roll Back Driver, and then choose Yes. (Some drivers don’t provide this option. If your driver doesn’t have Roll Back Driver available, go ahead to the next fix.)
  3. After the roll back is complete, restart your device, and then try opening the Camera app again.
  4. If rolling back didn’t work or isn’t available, continue to the next steps.

Uninstall your camera driver and scan for hardware changes

  1. In Device Manager, press and hold (or right-click) your camera, and then select Properties.
  2. Select the Driver tab, then select Uninstall Device. Select the check box for Delete the driver software for this device, then select OK.
  3. In Device Manager, on the Action menu, select Scan for hardware changes.
  4. Wait for it to scan and reinstall updated drivers, restart your PC, and then try opening the Camera app again.

if still not working continue to redo the previous two steps: Roll back camera driverand Uninstall You camera until yo can roll back anymore.

if at that point wecam still doens't work,  download the HP Universal camera driver : https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp95501-96000/sp95536.exe

execute sp95536.exe , driver will unpack in folder C:\SWsetup\sp95536

driver will install automatically, if it's not working , from device manager , select the  camera , select Properties, the Update Driver choosing to load the driver from C:\SWsetup\sp95536 , including subfolders.

in this way instead of using a Microsoft driver , camera will use the right driver from folder C:\SWsetup\sp95536

bye
