laptop 14-bs0xx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Only a few GB free on disk space. Brought laptop about 3 years ago for emails only while away, but now use a few other programs at home. Ran CCleaner & have uninstalled Windows features I don't need, & cleaned up Win Component Store using DISM, & moved MSO Cache to USB drive. But Windows still takes up 61% of hard drive. Only 980 MB Recovery partition I could merge with C drive.

Specs say 64 GB eMMC drive, but Windows shows only 57 GB.

Is an upgrade of the drive possible? Need a bit more space for Windows to run quicker. I have moderate computer skills. Are instructions to remove eMMC in a manual online? The manual on laptop's website only mentions HDD or M2. Solid State. Is eMMC the later? What specs, or what drives recommended. HP or eBay or online store? The manual covering several models says 128 GB eMMC is part 942826-001, but HP Parts can't find that. Parts has the existing drive as"1DN67AV   Part is not orderable in the HP Parts Store.

Thanks for any help,

Ron

No, you have to replace its system board. You can get a system board with same CPU but has M.2 slot or HDD bay for you to upgrade, its part # is 925425-601 (with Windows 10). Its price would be very close to a new machine.

Oh dear! Not even the 128 GB eMMC will swap I presume you mean. What a pity. It will have to stay as minimal machine.

Thanks for your quick reply Benhein,
