Can I Install Additional 8Gb DDR4 2666mhz Ram on HP-BS145TU?

Hello Team,

I recently Purchased Crucial 8GB DDR 4 ram for HP -BS145TU.On Amazon,I ordered For 2400mhz But Received 2666mhz.Is it compatible?Should j install it as Primary Or pre-installed Ram is of 2400mhz.

Or should I Replace the order By Amazon asking for 2400mhz.

You can add SAME existing 8GB to slot 2.

Not all RAM sticks are the same even they run at 2400MHz. You can use the following tool called CPU-Z to find out what is existing RAM and buy the same.

The pre-installed Ram is of 8GB DDR4 2400MHZ.

I had Purchased the 8GB DDR4 2666MHz.Can I add it to slot 2?.Or buy 2400mhz to match with existing Ram.

You can use 2666MHz RAM as long as it is compatible BUT it will run at 2400MHz.
