Pavillion 17-e118dx
Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

I need to upgrade the RAM in my Pavillion 17-e118dx laptop, because it's become too slow. I use Photoshop and Dragon Professional in my writing business and they use a lot of memory. The laptop comes with 4GB of RAM. I know there should be one empty slot. Can I add a single 8GB stick?

Hello @writerkathy,

The HP Pavilion 17-e118dx Notebook PC should support a max of 16GB of DDR3L-1600 MHz. (2 * 8GB)

Replacement procedures can be found here.

You have options from HP in the manual, from Crucial, Samsung, Hynix, etc.

Best regards,
Eddy

That's awesome! Thank you! I had bought an 8GB card but then kept seeing that I could only do 8 total. Thanks for the links, as well. Very helpful! 🙂
