Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I'd like to add a Crucial MX500 1TB 3D NAND SATA M.2 Type 2280SS Internal SSD - CT1000MX500SSD4 to my HP Pavilion 15cc1xx notebook - is this possible?  If so, do I have an extra slot to run it side by side with my stock hard drive, or do I have to switch it out?  Thanks

What is your Pavilion 15cc1xx ? For example HP Pavilion - 15-cc123cl, its specs

Your machine sould be similar to the above machine which can use the following M.2 SSD drive

When I check under system settings, it says only "HP Pavilion Laptop 15-cc1xx"

It is a Pavilion 15-cc183cl

The slot or system hardware places no limit on the SSD's capacity?

Also, will I be able to move my Windows over to the SSD and boot from it?

This is the SSD I'd like to get for my upgrade:  I have read that I need a Gen 4 motherboard to take full advantage; how can I tell whether I have this?  Thanks

Although, upon further research, this is a good deal less expensive, and its specs say it needs to have a SATA interface?
