Can I add a m.2 SSD to a HP 17-ca1065cl laptop? If so, do I need additional equipment?

Your laptop does have support for a M.2 NVMe SSD, but from the limited information I could find on the model I see reports that it already comes with a M.2 SSD, and there isn't support for two of them.

You might need to find and buy the M.2 SSD hold down screw if HP didn't include it and I wouldn't know if they did or not.
