Product: HP ENVY Notebook - 15-ae116tx
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I Currently have an 8GB RAM on my HP ENVY Notebook - 15-ae116tx. I would like to know if I can add an additional 8GB of RAM knowing that I have a 2nd slot in adding an additional RAM card.

Here is my current specs for my notebook:


Product name: HP ENVY Notebook - 15-ae116tx (Touch)

Operating system: Windows 10 Home 64
Microprocessor: Intel® Core™ i7-6500U with Intel® HD Graphics 520 (2.5 GHz, up to 3.1 GHz, 4 MB cache, 2 cores)
Video Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 950M (4 GB DDR3L dedicated)
Hard Drive: 1 TB 5400 rpm SATA
Display: 15.6" diagonal FHD anti-glare LED-backlit touch screen (1920 x 1080)
Network interface: Integrated 10/100/1000 GbE LAN

Any suggestion will be great. Thanks in advance!

Hi:

 

According to the product specs page for your notebook, you are already at the max (2 x 8 GB).

If the specs are incorrect, then yes, you can add an additional 8 GB memory module in the empty slot.

 

See chapter 1 page 1 of the service manual.
