Hi Community,
The laptop got dead recently and my technician had advised previous time that if my laptop got dead next time, I need to change my motherboard as it has become very weak.
So, can I update my mother board with i5 or i7 processor? And I also have a m2 sata SSD, can I use that in the updated mother board?
Can you please share the part number if possible.

Hi:
See chapter 3 of your notebook's service manual for the list of supported motherboards with their HP part numbers.
HP 15 Laptop PC (Intel)HP 15g Laptop PCHP 15q Laptop PC Maintenance and Service Guide
When replacing the motherboard, a couple of things to note:
1. In order to not have to buy a new Windows license and product key, you must buy a motherboard with the part number suffix that ends in -601.
2. Pay particular attention to the different heat sink assemblies that may be required depending on the motherboard you select to replace yours with.
