I can not find its specs, it should have SAME ports as its sister

                HP Omen 16-wf1047TX

which shows it has    2 Thunderbolt™ 4 with USB Type-C® 40Gbps signaling rate (USB Power Delivery, DisplayPort™ 1.4, HP Sleep and Charge ports that means you can use USB-C port to charge your machine.

Hi wbae

Based on the specifications of the HP Omen Laptop 16-wf1037tx, it does have a USB Type-C port that supports USB Power Delivery (USB PD).

You can find this information in the specifications from a major retailer:

  • 1x USB Type-C® 5Gbps signaling rate (USB Power Delivery, DisplayPort™ 1.4, HP Sleep and Charge)

This confirms that the USB-C port on your laptop is equipped with the Power Delivery standard, which means you should be able to charge your laptop using a compatible USB-C PD charger.

However, keep the following in mind:

  • Wattage of the Charger: For optimal charging, especially while using the laptop for demanding tasks like gaming, you'll likely need a USB-C PD charger with a high wattage (ideally 100W or more). A lower wattage charger might charge the laptop slowly, or only maintain the battery level under heavy use, or only charge when the laptop is off.
  • HP's Recommendation: Some sources suggest that for full performance during intensive tasks, it's best to use the original AC adapter that came with the laptop. USB-C PD charging might be more suitable for lighter tasks or when the laptop is off or in sleep mode.
  • System-Off Charging: The specifications also mention "HP Sleep and Charge," which allows you to charge other devices from the laptop's USB ports even when it's off. System-off charging via the USB-C port is typically supported with a 20V Type-C adapter or power bank.

In conclusion, you can charge your HP Omen Laptop 16-wf1037tx via USB-C Type PD. However, the charging speed and ability to power the laptop fully during demanding tasks will depend on the wattage of the USB-C PD charger you use. It's recommended to use a high-wattage PD charger for the best experience.
