HP Laptop PC 15s-fq2000

Hi there,

I've just bought a HP 15s-fq2015na Laptop and I'm wondering if I can charge it with a powerbank through the USB-C port.

I originally thought any laptop with a USB-C port could be charged with a powerbank, but my Anker Powercore 20100 doesn't seem to charge this laptop. (20100mAh/72.36wh, Output: 5V/4.8A, Input: 5V/2A)

On further research, I found 2 other similar topics on this forum;

One for a HP–15s-Eq1038nw Laptop where an expert said you can NOT use the USB-C port to charge the laptop
 https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Hardware-and-Upgrade-Questions/Charge-via-usb-C/td-p/8144854

And another here, more similar to mine, for a HP-15s-fq2049TU Laptop where the support agent said you CAN use the USB-C port to charge the laptop
https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Hardware-and-Upgrade-Questions/Can-I-charge-my-laptop-using-U...

Is anybody able to clarify this for me please, and if so, would you also be able to advise me on the type of powerbank I would need, in terms of specs (voltage/watts?) if possible?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you
Bobby

Yes, you can, however, Voltage refers to how much charge a battery pack can hold. The more charge it can hold, the more it’ll be able to recharge your laptop. The best battery packs have voltages of around 100W (watts).

Voltage can be a pretty tough category to gauge because laptops have all sorts of different kinds of batteries. Let’s say that you have a 30W battery pack and a laptop that can hold 30 watts of power. That’s a good battery pack to have: 1 fully charged battery pack = 1 full laptop recharge.
