I've been trying to determine if this laptop can be charged by USB-C and if it would be any faster than by the stock power supply.  I've found verbiage on it but it's not specific to this model.  If it can be charged by that method, what charger would I need?

Its specs

       https://www.hp.com/us-en/shop/pdp/hp-envy-x360-laptop-15z-ds100-8wl85av-1

which shows it has 1 SuperSpeed USB Type-C® 5Gbps signaling rate (USB Power Delivery, DisplayPort™ 1.4, HP Sleep and Charge) port therefore you can use compatible USB-C charger to charge your machine.

I do not have a USB-C charger but I'm using an HP USB-C Gen 5 dock for a similar machine which has same SuperSpeed USB Type-C® 5Gbps signaling rate (USB Power Delivery, DisplayPort™ 1.4, HP Sleep and Charge) port. The dock give me more connections and also charges my machine at the same time (single cable solution).

Regards.

Thanks for the info but I'm looking for a little more than that.  The dock you mention doesn't show volt/watt specs.  I would like to know what voltage/wattage is required for this laptop so that I can purchase a second power supply.  I don't see any USB-C power supplies (or any standard ones) on the shopping portion of the hp site.  If I need to buy a different brand, I need to know what the power requirements of the laptop are.
