Product: HP 470 G9 17 inch Notebook PC (4Z7D3AV)

I have not been able to get the charging icon to function when plugged into a USBC charger - why is this?  It only charges with the dedicated charger and using the power socket not the USBC

Hi @Ruffs 

 

You cannot use your USB-C port to charge the device, the port does not support Power Delivery so do not attempt to charge through this port.
