Dear All,
Searched many sources but found no complete coverage of the theme.
Well, I liked some 24bit/192kHz model Audio Interfaces for a purchase but all those nice interface models are equipped with only FireWire slots which does not have my Envy laptop. Some web-sources note of opportunities of using adapters but this does not make sense due to significant loss of speed.
Other web-sources do note that there is such a way of connecting FireWire device into Card Reader slot.....
The question is: can I connect FireWire Audio Interface to my HP ENVY x360 - 15-ds0005ur ?
Thank you for the advice!

All normal notebooks/laptops now do not have FireWire option. Few years back, I tested few adapters and they did not work therefore I gave up. Please try

Thank you for your thoughts!
Sorry, that page does not answer the question.....
Furthermore, if you check with Focusrite website it tells the following: No, it is not possible to connect a FireWire interface to your computer's USB port via a FireWire to USB adapter since this connection is not sufficient to run a FireWire audio interface.
Actually, still expecting for the solution.......
Definitely, this theme/issue does not relate to HP and is of a general type; however it is good to know on whether it can be resolved in relation with HP Envy!

I got found some web-sources mentioning ExpressCardReader slot of laptops being able to take those FireWire outputs.....
On the left-side of my laptop I do see SD Memory Card Reader slot, is it the equal to ExpressCardReader ? could it accommodate FireWire output device ?
Thank you for sharing your thoughts!
