Hello. Just want to know - can I connect this external monitor -> http://www.lg.com/us/monitors/lg-29UM68-P-ultrawide-monitor to my laptop HP 17-ak026na with resolution 2560x1080?
P.S. How to check what HDMI port version I have? Cant find it.
Thank you very much!

Hi,
If we look at page 3 of service manual for your model we see that it supports:
HDMI version 1.4 supporting 1920 ×1080 @ 60Hz
So you can connect to the monitor, but you will not have the 2560x1080 resolution.
Service manual:

Hope it helps,
