Hello! I just had a problem with my laptop's power jack just a month after the warranty expired. I had to leave it to a repair store for like two weeks, and now I am concerned that someone from the repair store could changed the parts from my laptop with some others wasted ones. Is there any way to check if (what) parts from my laptop were replaced?

How's it working? No as I said there is no record of specific parts used in the manufacture of your laptop. HP uses different hard drives and different memory modules at different times on the assembly line. The battery is the one part you can check the manufacture date and number of cycles through the HP Support Assistant app. If the battery is too old to have been included with your laptop then you might prove an older battery was swapped in. I think some advanced hard drive diagnostic apps might reveal something similar for the hard drive.

Only generically i.e. is it still a 1 TB hard drive or something smaller, is there less RAM, a cheaper wireless card? There is no record of the specific serial numbers of specific components.

Well, checking by software shows up as everything is the same. I was wondering if there is a way to check parts by product id or something like that?
