How can I increase the speed of my laptop? Thinking to get SSD installed on it. Does it have a slot for SSD? A slot of RAM is available too. Which would be better and how can I do it?

There is a slot for an M.2 SATA 2280 form factor SSD
M.2 slot shown in red circle
BUT, be careful. You want to open the laptop FIRST before you buy an SSD as this model series is a mixed bag: in some cases the slot shown in the picture above is missing. In that case you need to replace the hard drive with a 2.5 inch SATA SSD which is a direct plug and play replacement for the current slow 5400 rpm hard drive.
Memory is DDR4-2133 SO-DIMM. Your max is actually 32 gigs of a pair of sixteen gig modules but adding a second 8 gig would be a better return for the money. If you can only do SSD OR memory do the SSD as 8 gigs is enough for most users and is not your bottleneck. That is the very slow hard drive.
