HP Notebook - 14-bs024la
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi! I've been using my laptop and I noticed it gets very hot on the bottom. I opened it and realized that it does not have a fan installed. Can I mount one? or should I use an external one?

My laptop is a HP 14bs024la, with a Celeron processor.

@yadiv0,

Your HP 14-bs024la (1GX69LA) did indeed not come with a CPU cooling fan, this notebook was designed with a "THERMAL MODULE, UMA 6W" (p/n: 925347-001), which is just a heatsink plate, sans a fan.

Not sure if there would be space to add a fan, let alone how to power it.

I would recommend using a laptop cooling pad instead, such as this purchase example: Amazon.com: TECKNET Laptop Cooling Pad, Portable Slim Quiet USB Powered Laptop Notebook Cooler Cooli....

Hope this was helpful.

Kind Regards,
