I bought a Hp 260 G6 i3 notepad about 6 months ago. I have been using it mainly to play games on. I realise my laptop is not intended for this but I have been managing a few games such as Fortnite Battle Royale. In theory, my laptop is a 2 GHz but the requirements for the game are 2.2 meaning I should not be able to play some of these games. However, when I have tried other games, it just freezes; is there anyway I can help the problem of it being unable to run many games or should I just get a new laptop/PC?

Hi,
The specs of your PC:
- Intel® Core™ i3-6006U 2GHz
- 4GB RAM + 128GB SSD
- 15.6" LED + WIFI
- Webcam + Bluetooth
- Windows 10 Home
You can see that you have the minimum requirements to play Fortnite (0.2 Ghz less is not real important as the graphics is slightly better than needed)
Now the problem with your PC to play games is that there is no dedicated video card. Even Fortnite would be a lot more playable with a dedicated graphics card and graphics RAM.
There is no way to upgrade the graphics card, unless you replace the whole motherboard which would most likely cost more than replacing the PC and buying one with desired specs or building a "cheap" desktop PC for games.
Hope it helps,
David

@Godhelpmepls73, welcome to the forum.
The model that provided doesn't appear to be correct. If you will provide the full model or product number I will help further.
In the meantime, here are the system requirements for Fortnite Battle Royale. As you will see, your laptop doesn't even match the minimum requirements. The fact that you can even play it is surprising.

Gaming PCs are usually not cheap, as you can see if you look at the OMEN PCs from HP. However, you could build a small desktop PC getting the parts from Amazon. You could try the Ryzen processors and a GTX 1050 or something similar from AMD. It all depends on how much you would like to spend?

Hi. I have been looking on amazon. Would you recommend this: https://www.amazon.co.uk/OCHW-Ultra-Fast-Gaming-Operating/dp/B0713YVQDS/ref=sr_1_8?s=computers&ie=UT...

Hi,
The PC still has integrated graphics. For integrated graphics a much better choice would be the new Ryzen CPUs which have powerfull integrated graphics which will work even with more modern and complex games.
Example:
or cheaper with slightly less powerfull Ryzen3 processor:

Both these computers look good. I am trying to go as cheap as possible. Would this good?
