Hi! A few months ago I got the notification that I had to replace my accu. I got the laptop for 4 to 5 years now, so I guess this is the normal age for a laptop battery. Today I was working and I noticed I was getting little electric shocks but I didn't worry too much. After a few minutes I got a slightly bigger shock and my pc shut down. I disconnected my laptop from the electric cable and decided to start up the laptop again. Everything worked perfectly. Do you think that this event was caused by my defect battery? If so, is it possible to remove it myself and replace it myself or do I need a specialist?

Four to five years is an excellent service life for a notebook battery.
Very few people manage to have them last that long.

You can replace the battery yourself if you have the confidence and patience.

Go to YouTube HP Support Channel to find a video for a notebook that is most similar to yours.
