HP Envy Notebook Y0F94AV
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My product # is Y0F94AV. It has an i&-7500U CPU @2.70 GHz with 16 GB RAM and 500 GB SSD. I would like to replace the optical drive with a hdd (assuming that is the only place to  put one). I've seen youtube video that show putting a new drive in a caddy that fills the slot for the optical drive.

Yes, you certainly can. However, if this modification causes the PC to malfunction or fail completely or partially, service might be chargeable.

@JSFoster

Have fun trying to find a CD/DVD caddy to do that.

There is no HP part replacement to do this.

Your manual here.

Now you can have.

M.2 and SSD.

Look at page 15-16

Look at the video for Removing the Base Enclosure.

It will only take a few minutes and a few screws

Then you will know for sure.
