Need to update my HP Notebook Bios from USB with Dos environment.

System ID 81F1

Processor : Intel Pentium CPU N3710

Current Bios version : F.50

 

Created a bootable usb flash drive in DOS with the Bios file sp112241_1.exe. Need to know do I need to extract the files from these to the USB also using Winzip.

Please post the full model # of your PC.

 

Notebook system board info doesn't help.

 

From the information I could find when I googled 81F1, I get a 250 G5 notebook.

The latest BIOS update is F.52 and you can use another Windows PC if yours is not working or you don't have Windows installed to create a USB recovery drive.
