Product: HP Notebook - 15-bs020cy
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

I like this laptop but the processor is not Win 11 compatible, everything else seems to check out ok.

Shame to buy a new one.  I cannot find info on if this notebook is upgradable and to what processor?

Any idea on my options?

Hi:

 

In order to upgrade the processor to one that is supported for W11, you would need to replace the motherboard with one listed in chapter 3 of your notebook's service manual that may come with an Intel 8th gen core processor.

It would be very expensive to do such an upgrade and probably be better to buy a new notebook that comes with W11.

 

If you are interested, I can give you two easy ways to bypass the W11 hardware checks so you can run W11 on your PC, and a way to easily go back to W10 after the default 'go back to W10' period expires, in case W11 doesn't work right on your particular PC.
