Operating System: Microsoft Windows XP

Hi, I have an old Presario 2710US that runs, slowly, on Win XP.

Is there any way to install more than 1GB of RAM?

Hi:

 

The maximum memory you can install in that model is 2 x 512 MB.

Thanks for the quick response.

So installing a larger HHD and Win 10 would be useless, right?

Win 10 wouldn't run with 1GB?

You're very welcome.

 

W10 would not work on that old a PC, and you would derive no benefit by installing a larger HDD unless the one you have now is more than 75% full.

 

If you have a way to reinstall XP, you may want to do that.

 

A fresh install of an operating system normally works wonders.

Yeah, I could reinstall XP but the software that I want to use on that laptop is modern real estate software that would not run on XP anyway.

Looks like I have to junk it, pity.
