Hi,
I want to upgrade my laptop RAM, can you please advise if it is possible.
Presently it is 4GB in memory slot 1
Also let us know if I can upgrade than there will be 2nd memory slot or I have to remove 4GB memory from slot 1 and fix higher capacity memory.
Thanks
Sunil

Hi,
Max RAM for your notebook is 16GB of DDR3l 1600MHz RAM (2x8GB)
So you can add another 4GB in the empty slot for a total of 8GB or more
Example
https://www.crucial.com/compatible-upgrade-for/hp---compaq/hp-15-r230ne
On page 76 of service manual you can see the steps to install the RAM
http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c04409502.pdf
You should also replace the HDD with a 2.5" SATA3 SSD which would give a great boost in the everyday performance of the machine.
Hope it helps,
David
