Can I upgrade my HP 15 AC 053TX laptop's ram from 8GB to 16GB? If yes which ram should I choose?

Yes, you can probably use either.

 

Too bad the Samsung memory is more expensive because HP uses Samsung memory in their PC's from time to time.

Below is the link to the crucial memory report for your model.

 

https://www.crucial.com/compatible-upgrade-for/hp---compaq/hp-15-ac053tx

 

It can be upgraded to 2 x 8 GB of memory.

 

You should be able to find the compatible memory part number by searching by the part number.
