HP Pavilion 15-n210se Notebook PC (ENERGY STAR)
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have an issue with my hard drive and it is starting to fail and show errors. I want to upgrade it to an SSD but I am not sure if it's upgradeable and what parts would be compatible with my laptop. My laptop is an HP Pavilion 15-N210SE and my old hard drive is a 500 GB 5400 rpm SATA. I am also open to possible upgrades I can do to boost the laptop's performance.

Hi:

Yes, you can replace the 2.5" mechanical hard drive with a 2.5" SATA SSD.

Look into the Western Digital Blue, Samsung EVO 870 or Crucial MX500 models.

You remove the existing drive and use the mounting hardware and existing connector to install the SSD.

You will need to reinstall the operating system and your programs and files on the new drive.

The HP support site is not working right now, but here is the link to where you can find the service manual for your notebook when the site is working again.
