Hi, @Buce
Normally HP notebooks with the Intel 8th gen core processors and two memory slots will support 2 x 16 GB of memory.
If you want to see if it is possible to upgrade your notebook to 2 x 16 GB of memory, you can do this to see how much memory your notebook can support:
1. In the search box, search for cmd and click Run as administrator.
This will open the command prompt.
2. Once command prompt is opened, type wmic memphysical get maxcapacityEx and hit enter.
There, it will show the maximum RAM capacity your PC's motherboard can support.
The capacity is shown as Kilobytes, so you have to convert it to Gigabytes by dividing the number provided in the report by 1,048,576.
Below is the link to the service manual where you can find the memory removal and replacement procedure.

If the Windows report indicates you can install 32 GB of memory, this should be a compatible 16 GB memory chip for your notebook:

From page 1 of its manual, it supports 16GB max
Supports for 16384 MB of DDR4 2400 MHz system memory in the following configurations:
- 16384 MB (8192MB × 2)
- 12288 MB (8192MB + 4096MB)
- 8192 MB (4096MB × 2)
Crucial also confirmed that
Regards.

I followed your suggestion and after opening the command prompt and entering wmic memphysical get maxcapacityEx , the result was 33554432 which I divided by 1048576 with the result of 32. I plan to purchase 2 of the recommended Crucial 16GB DDR4-2400 Memory SODIMM Modules and install them in my laptop. I will let you know if I am successful. Thank you very much for the help!!
