(I can't find my original post- Here is a new post with all the information needed)

I am trying to upgrade my HP Pavilion g6-1325sa Notebook PC. I wanted to see if I can switch the cpu and/or graphic card. I know that some laptop are impossible to upgrade the cpu and gpu but I want to know if my old laptop can be done. Without being affected by the hp bios whitelist.

It appears you can upgrade the processor to an A8-3500M. The E2 AMD processor you have is in the AMD A series which means the video is processed in the processor itself. So if you upgrade to the A8-3500 your video would improve, in addition to the processing power. There is no actual video card to remove and replace. Here is the Service manual:

Will the HP bios allow me to switch the CPU though. I heard that there is an whitelist and if you switch the component then the bios will not allow you to run it in an HP laptop. Thank you

No whitelist on CPUs. That is only wifi cards. As long as the processor is one of the ones listed in the manual you are good to go.

In sorry but this is my first time upgrading a cpu, I just have one last question. Are all processor listed on page 83 are compatible for my laptop? Including the Intel one listed on that page.

If so, would it be better to upgrade a couple to like a i3 processor?

Thank you

Only the AMD A series are compatible. The socket on Intel processors and the other AMDs is different and/or the motherboard circuitry will not work with anything other than the AMD A-series class processors, of which your current processor is definitely the weak sister.

Trust me, not my first rodeo, I did the analysis already and told you the highest and best processor that will fit in the socket on your motherboard and work.
