HP Pavilion Dv6-6b47dx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I know it's a old laptop it was a graduation gift from my grandparents. I was just curious if I could upgrade the graphics card I don't need really fancy graphics I just wanted something that could handle a bit more of the rendering functions of AutoCAD. Also are there any some what newer CPUs that would work with the laptop. I currently have a AMD A8-3510MX and the next best amd processor from the maintenance manual was the A8-3530MX but I was curious if there was any that would work with the laptop that were made with the same specs but after the laptop was released

@NotslaNedyah,

Thank you for posting your query on HP Community,

According to the Product specifications it shows that your PC has been shipped with AMD Radeon HD 6620G Discrete-Class Graphics.

Since there is a discrete graphics card installed on the PC. I'm afraid there is no option of upgrading the graphics card on your notebook.

The video chip in the laptop is soldered to the motherboard. There is no place to put a video card.

You may also refer to the Maintenance and Service guide of your notebook for more details.

I hope this information helps. Let me know if you need any further assistance. I'll be more than happy to help you.

That said, If the information I've provided was helpful, give us some reinforcement by clicking the Accepted Solution and Kudos buttons, that'll help us and others see that we've got the answers!
