Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
I want to upgrade my processor as it is getting old.
HP 1000-1324TU Notebook.
Current Processor: 2.2 GHz Intel Pentium
RAM : 2GB DDR3
HDD: 500GB

Hi:
Below is the link to the service manual for your notebook.
Chapter 1 has the supported intel processors you can install in your notebook.

Looks like you can go to the Intel Core i3-3110M, since your notebook has the onboard Intel graphics.
You would be much better off maxing out the memory to 8 GB, and changing the slow running mechanical hard drive with a 2.5" 500 GB SSD.
