I am looking for compatible processors for my old HP Compaq Presario 2200 (2223US) laptop. The current processor is an Intel Celeron M 350 (1.3Ghz, 1MB L2 Cache, 400MHz FSB) and has a model 371793-001 motherboard with BIOS updated to the latest release at F.16.
The original OS was Windows XP SP2 and I would like to load Linux Lite as this has worked great on my old Gateway NE5612u laptop.
So far, the best I can load on the Compaq is Puppy Linux Tahrpup 6.0.5 and I would like to push it as far as it will go. I have upgraded to 1GB of ram and I'm hoping a processor upgrade will do the trick.
