How to on page 47. Note also on page 23 HP offered the model series with up to a 1 TB SATA HDD. That does not limit what you can put in. It would run a 2 TB HDD, but if HP offered it you can be 100% sure it would work. 

 

You can alternatively install a solid state drive. If you get a hard drive (mechanical) get a 7200 rpm or one of th enewer drives with a very large memory cache. Hard drives have gotten better in the last couple years.
