Can I upgrade the CPU on HP G7-2269WM.

I have an older HP G7-2269WM with 16g RAM. I want to upgrade the CPU. What is the fastest CPU I can upgrade to that will improve speed? It has an A8-4500M in it now. I read somewhere that I can upgrade to a  A10-4600M but I don't know if the performance would even increase more and that maybe an SSD would work better to increase boot time, etc.

And would I be required to upgrade my BIOS if I did upgrade the CPU?

You are correct.

You can upgrade the processor to the AMD A10-4600M processor as indicated in chapter 1.

I'd install a 2.5" SSD before upgrading the processor.

Then maybe you can upgrade the processor to get the most you can out of your notebook.

The nice thing about AMD processors is when you upgrade the processor, you upgrade the graphics too.

I don't believe you would need to update the BIOS to install the A10.

I do t know if I could get blue tooth to.work on my notebook. I have no features or buttons for it. (Now you can tell I'm a novice. Lol

Currently, your notebook does not have Bluetooth capability.

The Atheros Wi-Fi adapter it comes with is Wi-Fi only, not a combination Wi-Fi/Bluetooth adapter.

That is why you can't enable Bluetooth.

interestingly enough most of the cards I am finding have a 9 before the 4352. for example:  Broadcom BCM94352HMB 802.11ac WIFI 867Mbps Bluetooth 4.0 Combo mini Card. Will they work as well?

The BCM94352HMB description is fine, as long as it references the HP part number I posted.

Looks like most of these cards are shipping from China.  The above one is in Canada.
