Hello! I'm looking to upgrade my CPU on my HP Pavilion Gaming Laptop 15-ec2000. Is there anyway I can do it without bringing it to a repair center?

Hi:

 

The processor is an integral part of the motherboard and cannot be upgraded unless you replace the motherboard.

 

The problem is beside it costing a fortune to do that is that HP does not have a service manual for the 15-ec2xxx model series, so even if you wanted to do that, you would not know what motherboards/part numbers are supported.

 

HP only has the service manual for the older 15-ex0xxx model series on your notebook's support page, which would not be of any help.
