I want to buy a new graphics card to run a few of my games better and I just need to know whether or not I can actually do that?

Hi:
The graphics adapter is an integral part of the motherboard.
The only way to upgrade the graphics would be to replace the motherboard with one listed in chapter 3 of your notebook's service manual that may come with a better graphics adapter.
You would probably have to replace the heat sink too.
Such an upgrade would be very costly and would not provide a good return on investment.

Absolutely.
Sell or trade in your notebook and buy one with a discrete Nvidia graphics adapter, not the onboard Intel one.
HP doesn't even sell a replacement motherboard for your notebook.
I looked up the part number for one with the best processor and graphics adapter that HP offered in the model series and they are available but as I wrote earlier...very expensive.
For example:
SPS-MB DSC MX330 4GB i7-10510 WIN L93874-601 | eBay
HP doesn't sell the heatsink required for the motherboards that come with the discrete graphics adapters, so you have to buy that from the secondary market as well.
Genuine HP Envy 15-ED Thermal Heat Sink L93191-001 | eBay
As you can see, you would spend a ton of money and who knows if the upgrade would go well.
That's a lot of work and a lot of disassembly required.
You can probably buy a decent gaming-type notebook for less than upgrading yours.
