Hi
The laptop freezes a lot - and then needs a power down to work again.
I had a look, and it shows that 2GB of the 8GB of memory is used for the graphics card - therefore I may need to add more memory. The manual suggests that I can't do this - any ideas what I can do?

Hi:
Below is the link to the Crucial memory report for your notebook.
Memory RAM & SSD Upgrades | hp - compaq | hp 14 series | HP 14-dk0020na | Crucial UK
According to the report, your notebook has two memory slots and each slot can take a max of 16 GB for a total of 32 GB of memory.
The service manual differs in that it indicates the max memory is 2 x 8 GB, but the Crucial report is almost always right.
Maintenance and Service Guide HP 14 Laptop PC
The 'Memory is non-customer accessible/non-upgradeable' statement means that HP wants any upgrades to be done by an authorized repair center.
If you believe that you can do the memory upgrade yourself without breaking anything in the process (thus voiding any warranty), feel free to do so.
You can see in chapter 5, there is a procedure to remove and replace the memory.
