Can I upgrade the processor on my laptop

Hey there. How do I know if I can upgrade the processor on my laptop from an i5 to an i7

The Service Manual:

on page 18 lists the various system boards and they include the processor so in order to upgrade you would have to install a complete motherboard with processor. This is generally very expensive and the motherboards are not easy to find.

I'm recieving this today as an insurance replacement for an older laptop so I don't have the unit yet. 

I'm guessing I can replace the HDD with and SSHD and up the ram?

I see some of that info there however determining which computer has what capabilities lilsted on the rught under catagory and UMA then shows discrete... not sure what mine falls under.

No there is never a situation where you can change an Intel processor to AMD using the same motherboard. In your case the processor is not removeable at all and even if it were Intel and AMD have incompatible sockets.
