Hello,

 

Can I upgrade to 32 GB of RAM for my HP ENVY Laptop 17m-cg0xxx?

 

Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-1065G7 CPU @ 1.30GHz 1.50 GHz

Intel RAM: 12.0 GB (11.8 GB usable)

System Type: 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor

Edition: Windows 10 Home

Version: 21H1

Installed on: 12/‎12/‎2020

Below is the link to the service manual for your notebook.

 

Maintenance and Service Guide HP ENVY 17 Laptop PCHP ENVY 17m Laptop PC

 

Chapter 1 has the memory upgrade info.

 

According to the manual your notebook can support 2 x 16 GB of memory.

 

The one thing I disagree with is the memory speed HP indicated of 2400 MHz.

 

Your notebook should use DDR4-3200 memory.

Chapter 3 of the manual shows the part numbers for the memory as DDR4-3200.

Unfortunately, I would not know off hand, but you can look that information up using the Windows System information app.

The number in my screenshot equates to 2 GB of graphics memory.
